The Cigar meets every Monday evening at 6pm in the Memorial Union room 125. At each meeting, members of the Editorial Board pitch stories that are welcome to be written by anyone who attends, regardless of your major, year at URI or experience in journalism. We also offer newscast and photography opportunities to all students.
All member begin as contributing reporters for our paper, and have the ability to become an editor at the end of each semester when we hold elections. To learn more about these positions, please join us on Monday nights!
No prior experience in any field is needed. Come prepared with just yourself — that’s it!
